There’s always something happening throughout the winter, so come and join us for fun times and some Savoyard hospitality! For full details of what’s on during your stay, ask us or pop into the Tourist Office to pick up a copy of that week’s program.

Torchlight descents
Once a week, during Christmas and the winter holidays, come and see our instructors as they perform the magical winter spectacle of a traditional torchlight descent, ending around a delicious vin chaud !

Lamp descent by children and night skiing 
It’s your children's turn to do their own descent with their lanterns, supervised by our instructors. Following this, you and your children can enjoy night skiing on a floodlit slope.
Level required : 1ère étoile is required for the descent.
Meeting point : Les Evettes, at the bottom of the slopes.
Registration and lantern buying : ESF office (5€)

Ski touring at night with dinner in a chalet – every Wednesday from 6pm to 10pm
A magical evening experience! Our ski instructors will guide you on a hike by ski up through the forest at night, and after a good dinner in an authentic and warm chalet, you will ski back down in the dark thanks to your head torch!
Meeting point : les Evettes, in front of the ESF Chalet.
Registration : ESF Flumet office
Rate :  25€ (dinner not included; ski equipment not included, you can rent it in Flumet).
Level required : 3ème étoile

 

Introduction to Yooner sledging – every Thursday from 3.30pm to 5pm
The ESF instructors invite you to discover the great-fun yooner, a sledge inspired by the Paret, an old Savoyard sledge with just one skate.
Meeting point : les Evettes, in front of chairlift.
Registration : at ESF Flumet office before Wednesday night
Rate : 6€ /person. Ski pass and yooner rent not included, you can rent yooners from sport shops in Flumet.
Equipment required : gloves and boots.


Ski Memory - a memorable evening opened with a lamp descent by children
Following the children’s lamp descent, there will be a demonstration of how far skiing has come from the days of its inception. See wooden skis, long skis, monoski, and the paret (an old Savoyard sledge) in action, and enjoy the authentic costumes and retro techniques of the instructors! This friendly and comic spectacle ends with a good vin chaud!
